Noel Simpson ground works and landscape specialist at Galtee Plant in Cahir, County Tipperary has invested in a new 14 tonne Takeuchi, from local Takeuchi dealer BFM Plant Sales of Cashel. Noel Simpson was impressed with many features unique to Takeuchi’s 14 tonne machine. Specifically the large dozer blade and the offset boom, unlike most other conventional 14 tonne machines these features give far better versatility on site for many more applications.

“The dozer blade provides grading and finishing options good enough for the landscaping jobs and the offset boom means this 14 tonne works comfortably in many working areas other machines can’t, including built-up restricted roadside jobs and close up to walls” The offset boom function makes the job easier – no constant repositioning of the machine just let the boom arm in various offset positions do the work. With the added power of 14 tonne capacity the machine works fast and very effectively.

Galtee Plant were of course familiar with Takeuchi having hired in many Takeuchi mini diggers over the years. Making the decision to invest in this high specification machine highlights just how popular it has become with owner operators looking for more versatility than conventional large excavators.
