Takeuchi launched the new TB138FR earlier in the year and its size and flexibility has proved performance with hire companies looking for a smaller than average 4 tonne.

The FR gets it into tight places – zero swing both front and rear. Coupled with offset the 138FR makes it all the more easy

for operators – no repositioning the machine, simply move the boom and dig.

Many plant hire firms already aware of Takeuchi’s unique offset function and performance of the larger FR machines up to 8 tonne so a new 4 tonne has added to the range.

At just 3850kg the new Takeuchi fits the demand for a powerful 4 tonne mini excavator. Compact in size but a powerfully rated mini the TB138 is fitted with a 3TNV88 Yanmar, 20.9 kW rated engine. Its bucket force powers in at 26.5kN, dig depth reaches 3110mm and dump height stretches 3595mm. At just 1740mm wide and 4715mm length when transporting, the new TB138FR is a compact alternative in any plant hire fleet.
