Hire companies continue to invest in Takeuchi diggers to meet the demands of utilities service contracts right across the UK.

The familiar red and white compact mini excavators have become a familiar scene on streetworks and utilities contracts with many machine operators requesting Takeuchi to get the job done.

Plant hire companies have updated rental fleets with Takeuchi’s most popular sized mini, the TB016 1.5-tonne. A purpose built machine for utilities it packs a powerful punch in a 1.5-tonne size and is now a firm favourite for machine operators when looking for a compact size, good breakout force but most importantly good visibility near the footwell and stability when excavating.

Some of the latest Takeuchi converts include LAW Plant and Tools operating in both Kidderminster and Wombourne, near Wolverhampton. Law’s invested in their first ever Takeuchi machines, updating the fleet to include 9 new Takeuchi minis to meet the specific requirement of Network Utilities.

Utilites firms highlight that extendable tracks provide the stability when digging deep and that’s why operators prefer Takeuchi on site especially when digging around critical working areas and cables. With its compact size these small Takeuchi machines work well on the restricted access often found with streetworks in built up areas.

In the North West another plant hire firm PJP is getting right on track for utilities contractors and continues to expand the fleet with more compact Takeuchi excavators. PJP have just added eight more TB016 minis alongside four new TB180FR full radius excavators.
