Getting a good combination of hydraulic power behind the cutting is essential for the latest Berti Flail Mowers now stocked by groundcare specialists Roy Francis Plant Sales. Having successfully trialled a number of tool carriers with ground care attachments they immediately saw the high performance value of Takeuchi’s tracked loader range. The most recent to be put through its paces was the TL120 model combined with Berti’s newest AF/SSL-145 flail mower. A Takeuchi TL120 tracked loader fitted with a Berti AF/SSL-145 flail offers hydraulic side shift to get closer to edges and ditches, cuts brush and re-growth type vegetation up to 50mm in diameter and is suitable for the toughest overgrown areas and for small shrubs and small trees.
“The TL120 might be the smallest Takeuchi in the range but fit a Berti flail mower on the front and you get a surprising amount of power and performance in a compact package. Simply as a tracked loader Takeuchi offer probably the most comfortable cab, plenty of leg room, very easy controls and maximum visibility.”Allan Feltham (Roy Francis Plant Sales) But in this industry it’s operational and productivity performance that really counts and that’s where the Berti comes in. A well proven design, hard wearing engineering with 14 cutting heads. It doesn’t require hi-flow hydraulics just 55 l/min @ 180-220 bar and a max cutting width of 1450mm wide and at only 610kg in weight it is certainly one of the most compact yet powerful flail mowers available. The Takeuchi tracked loader fitted with a Berti flail mower provides a relatively low weight solution, low ground pressure and relatively small overall size for transporting on a small 7.50 ton beavertail lorry and getting access into areas some larger machines can’t get. But it is Takeuchi’s track performance on some really tough ground conditions and steep slopes that makes a big difference, for land management on motorway and railway embankments. The TL machines are designed and built from the tracks up as a tracked loader and are not a wheeled machine converted to tracks, therefore track performance is pivotal. Operators will feel safe and in full control when working on slopes due to the unique double reduction planetary drive motors and Takeuchi’s renowned pilot operated servo controls enabling the finest of machine movements whilst using the mulching attachment. |
“This package powers up slopes through overgrowth with ease whereas many others of this size and price just wouldn’t".
