Takeuchi MFG Co., Ltd. announced that it has concluded a contract with Toyota Tsusho Corporation to form a capital and business alliance (on April 15, 2009). Toyota Tsusho is the trading company of Toyota Group which comprises 15 companies led by Toyota Motor Corporation.

Following a share issue by Takeuchi Mfg Co Ltd, major investor Toyota Tsusho Corporation now holds a 7% stake as second largest major shareholder in Takeuchi Mfg Co Ltd. The share issue highlights a strong strategic business alliance between Toyota Tsusho Corporation and Takeuchi Mfg for future products and follows a long standing relationship between the companies.

This major capital injection is specifically aimed at product developments and site facilities. The partnership will work together on the creation of joint business, expansion of construction machinery sales in Brazil, Latin America, Russia, Middle and Near East and Africa alongside strengthening construction machines sales across North America and Europe

The investment represents a major input of capital specifically for new products and the demands for environmentally friendly machinery and the partnership provides a business synergy for this technology.
