15 tonne Earthmoving

Takeuchi’s hotly anticipated, new 15 tonne excavator has landed in the UK and is meeting expectations.

Best known perhaps for their reliable mini excavator line-up and market leader for 1.6 tonne minis, Takeuchi are making a big noise in the larger earthmoving weight class.

The new 15.6 tonne TB2150R with a conventional fixed boom arrived on the UK market in October and has already made a big impact on sales.

So far proving popular with plant hire companies, the fixed boom appeals to hirers who require a conventional boom arrangement for the hire fleet.
It’s Takeuchi’s first fixed boom at this weight class, previously Takeuchi only offered an offset boom for 15 tonne excavating.
For a 15 tonne it is a very compact earthmover; the relatively short tail gets the machine into the most compact working areas, with a track footprint of just 2690 x 3750mm, it is available as both mono boom or 2-piece.

Powered by the latest Deutz Tier 4 turbocharged engine for more power and greater torque ensures good breakout capability with bucket force at 98.7kN and arm digging force at 64.9kN.

With improved hydraulic flows and three auxiliary lines as standard, the TB2150R can operate with a greater range of attachments.
The TB2150R offers excellent lifting capability. Dual boom cylinders with hose burst check valve provide added lifting power and additional clearance for bucket and attachments.
A big comfy cab, full colour LCD along with front mounted LED work lights and a reversing camera with in-cab display adds to on-site job safety.
