Takeuchi Supporting the Career Day Event at Kingsway Park High School.

8th March 2023.

Takeuchi’s UK Marketing Manager Holly Cooke and Financial Controller Tracy Williams represented Takeuchi at a local career event at Kingsway Park High School.

The event targeted at the next generation of students making local career choices; with Takeuchi highlighting the varied and rewarding job roles available in the busy construction plant sector. With a skill shortage in the construction industry, it is essential for events like this in the local community and schools to get young people to think about a career in our industry. It is a fantastic opportunity to present them an insight to career paths with a local company.

‘’It was great to give the pupils an insight into my career at Takeuchi and what a day in the life of a Marketing Manager looks like. I have worked at Takeuchi over 21 years in various roles from Sales & Service to Dealer Support and Marketing Manager.

Construction has a variety of careers including skilled trades, IT, marketing, project management, design and much more. In construction, huge job satisfaction comes from helping to build something, making a difference to the environment and the opportunity to progress your career and travel world-wide”

The career day was a great opportunity to show the pupils two women who have progressed through the ranks at Takeuchi with over 45 years’ experience between them on National Women’s Day.

For over twenty-five years Tracy has trained and progressed, to become the company’s fully qualified accountant and current Financial Controller. “It’s been interesting to tell the pupils more about different career paths and how I have progressed through the company’’.

Takeuchi have been in Rochdale for over 25 years and will continue to support the local community.
